Works perfectly! (130W AC adapter, plus version)

We used docking stations when I worked as an IT specialist for a pharmaceutical company. Now that I'm remote/working from home this was a must. I went for the plus version (multiple monitors) and the 130w power supply. Everything plugged in, booted up and it works great! Win 10 required a reboot to add new drivers, otherwise a silly install.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Some cons

Simplicity and convenience are worth it.

Connects to the port on the bottom of my Dell Latitude E6400. Adds a lot more (IMO) to a laptop. Unexpensive. Worth what I paid for it. I first saw a dock at the main office where I work a few years ago. . Disconnect and go. No more plugging and unplugging peripherals.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Good complement for older Dell laptops

If you have a Dell laptop with a bottom port this is a very handy item. Instantly turn your laptop into a full desktop without connecting anything. You simply attach the entire laptop to the device with a single click. It also charges the laptop. The only thing I don't like is the lack of an HDMI port. I had minor issues with occasionally slow display response, but these were resolved by simply unplugging the laptop and then reinstalling it. It may also be that I use Unbuntu

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not bad

It's nice but I have a bug, it won't charge when docked.

The computer does not charge when connected to the docking station even though the correct power source is connected, the computer must be charged by plugging directly into the power source.

Mine has hardly been used

Wife is the main user. Since her laptop only has two USB ports, she welcomed the extra ports and the ability to use her current large monitor. The possibility of using a second monitor has intrigued her and may mean that she will soon need a larger desk. I was happy to see that a genuine Dell PSU was provided as it is better than the one that came with their refurbished laptop. The device itself was used. There was a slight scuff if a previous user was careless during the docking process. The…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Weak kit

I'm using it now for display port output. The display port on my laptop is defective so I got this dock instead of having it fixed. The power supply is less than the 180w required for a workstation laptop, but I have another laptop that can use it. For some reason I thought it was bigger, but it's actually a medium-sized charger. The one that worked had a plastic protector to protect the part during transit, but the one that didn't work didn't have one. It had bent pins. and loose parts inside.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Long wait
