This is a genuine Dell part. I use it on the go with an AC adapter to power my Inspiron 7590 and Latitude (65W AC adapter) from work. The Inspiron will tell you that it needs a more powerful power supply, so as long as you don't put too much strain on the computer, it can be used that way. You can disable this message in the BIOS.

I've hidden them here and there, and now that I have several of these adapters, it doesn't matter which laptop I connect to. So I made it permanent with duct tape. But everyone else plugs in and out reliably.

Used to convert a Dell 90w charger with a larger port to work with my 5510 and 5520 laptops while I fly as the factory 130w overpowers the built in chargers over voltage protection destroy. Works perfectly. I wrapped some loops of tape around the connector to keep it from coming loose (I lost one) - it's not loose or anything, but this cable is so small that if you pull on it and break it, you can't to realize it's gone before it's too late.

Dell really should be providing this for their laptops until this smaller diameter power connector becomes the norm. Had to use this adapter with all Dell power supplies in my office and conference rooms. Otherwise I would take the power pack with me to every meeting.

Works exactly as it should. I see a lot of people saying they have a problem or that it's fake, but it's real and 100% working. Using breaks is SUPER easy.

I have an old charger from a previous Dell that I was planning to use. Just received but so far this adapter is working perfectly. Dell is a P75F Inspiron 15 Series 5000. Dell LA65NS2-01 charger.

Update: Rating changed to 2 stars because I bought 5 of them and after 2 years all 5 stopped working. Some failed within a few months and the last one eventually died after about 2 years. So I think you have to buy them again and again. Works as advertised. Looks like a well made cable. My new Dell XPS 15 9560 is happy with this adapter which uses an older Dell PSU.

These items work well but break, I use mine every day and it lasted a year. But the price is right and now I have some spares.
