This solved my problem with my laptop charging slowly and intermittently. The Geek Squad tech told me I needed a genuine Dell charger once. He said Dell needs a Dell charger and he was right. I have purchased several (3) aftermarket chargers and they have worked for a while. This one from Dell for a laptop solved all my charging problems.

The plug that fits into the outlet is much smaller than the original charger that came with my Dell laptop. This charger has worked well to date. I wanted to charge my laptop while using it but it wouldn't charge. The charge indicator is green. It's hot, so there's power, but it just won't charge. This additional power supply was purchased for travel destinations as there is no need to bring the original power supply. Mitigates events when power source is forgotten. I'm not sure why Dell.com charges a whopping amount to buy additional power supplies!
