I have 2 of these on a dual screen display. They are both about a year old. About 3 months ago I noticed that the monitor on my left (HDMI) dimmed randomly depending on the position of my mouse. I never bothered with its settings, I just unpacked it, plugged it in and left it alone. Then a week ago I noticed a bright spot on the right monitor (DVI) just in front of the power cable connector. My brother got me this for my birthday because I needed a monitor for my new desktop. Eventually I installed my PS3 on it and played Final Fantasy XIII on it. it can show its 1080p quality very well. I play WoW on it now and just for everyday use and it's the perfect size for my computer. Cons: All ports are on the bottom of the monitor, so it's very inconvenient to plug things into.

This screen is amazing. We were looking for a new monitor to replace a very old 16.5 inch monitor and it was spot on for our price of $160 and it's beautiful, huge and amazing. End of the story.

I'm pretty sure no one will buy this monitor in 2020 so I'm just leaving this review with a laugh. I received this monitor in February 2010 with a pre-built Dell computer and have been using it every day since. I had absolutely no problems with it. What a champion. It has nice built-in settings not found in modern budget monitors. Considering this thing is 11 years old, it far exceeded my expectations.

I bought the first one directly from DELL. I liked it so much that I bought another one. Even if I switch from PC (I hate Dell more) to Apple I will still buy one of these monitors. Outstanding clarity. Doesn't hum (I'm very sensitive to noise). Excellent price.

I've had this monitor for a few months now. I hate jinxing it but this monitor still works fine. I don't need anything in high resolution. I just wanted a decent monitor and so far I'm fine with that. The price was reduced when I received it, although I did better.

The picture on this monitor is very clear but the colors are blurred. There are Hue and Saturation adjustments, but the result is always too much blue. There is no printed manual and what is on the disk is too small.

I guess nobody wants to buy this monitor but I bought two in 2010 and they still work well in my home office after daily use and two years of WFH pandemic. I was wanting to upgrade to something newer/bigger/brighter but after looking at the prices of the new monitors I'm not sure.

This monitor came with a computer that I ordered online from Dell. I'm not a techie but I think it has great color and resolution. I agree that a printed monitor setup guide is of little help. The writing is so small that you need a magnifying glass to read it. The manual on the CD is much more complete. A blinking lock appeared on the screen 21 months after purchase and despite numerous suggestions I have not been able to fix it despite great effort or research online. The flashing padlock is a known issue that has existed for at least 3 years. Type "flashing padlock" into Google to confirm. The stand works fine, but the instructions for the tilt function weren't in the installation guide. You have to press the large Dell icon on the back and tilting is effortless. Sounds weird, but it worked! Just click above and it works. Other people on various websites said "forced" etc. just bought this but not from Revain, just gave a little advice, thought it would help. The color is excellent, the old soundbar didn't fit, but the new one did.

As noted by other reviewers, this is a very good monitor for the money ($160). I received it yesterday and it worked right away. The included instructional CD is useless - not that you'll need it. One thing confused me for a moment: when I noticed that the monitor had an "Audio In" jack, I assumed the monitor had built-in speakers, but it didn't. It's a small thing and just struck me as odd. UPDATE: When using DVI, while the graphics card can control the scaling, there are significant compression artifacts when viewing dark scenes. Images with a gradient fill down to pure black (such as the Windows 7 startup animation) show very sharp edges instead of a soft glow. The EA logo in Crysis looks pretty nasty as there are clearly visible compression artifacts that should be black. They don't appear on the HDTV, so it's a monitor issue.
