I have a valve that seals at 150psi on my compressor in all positions and that's important. However, sealing the NPT threads was a complete hassle. It seems the ports are machined too deep and you're not getting a good seal. After several attempts with Teflon tape and PTFE liquid sealant, I went to RTV. RTV worked and it was sealed, I would have happily paid another 5-10 bucks to not waste so much time.

As seen in the photo, it is used to bypass the drinking water filter kit . As others have noted, the three large packing nuts should be tightened prior to use. They were a bit stiff at first, but after putting them in a vise and turning the valve a lot, they work fine now. Walked over the dishwater to clean the machine oil before use as it is on the main drinking water line leading into the house. The dishwasher removed the big "MADE IN CHINA" lettering on the handles - dammit. Would buy again.

The boat has two fuel tanks and with a 3-way valve we can use either the first tank on the starboard side or the second tank on the port side or both to start our 40hp 4-stroke outboard engine. The tanks are in an opposing fiberglass box and the 3-way valve on the fuel box/port seat works fine for our purpose. We recommend it for such applications. The valve is well made and of high quality.
