A good product just needs a little more Tea Tree Oil

That's it. It contains tea tree oil and thus helped get rid of a rash due to an allergic reaction to shellfish consumption. I just wish the tea tree oil was stronger. But a good product and cheaper than Burt's Bees. Would buy again

Pros
  • That's great
Cons
  • Repair

Effective, cute, unclogs pores, smoothes lips

I've tried different brands of lip balm and these little guys did it for me. When I use this lip balm my lips are moisturized, smooth and clean. Tea tree oil naturally unclogs pores, so don't worry about it appearing around your lips. Creepy. I buy them by the dozen and I got so frustrated when my local Whole Foods stopped carrying them so give it a try and order here!

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

The Best Way to Prevent Cold Sores

This lip balm works wonders in preventing and relieving cold sores. I keep it in my purse and put it on as soon as I feel the start. Highly recommended.

DESTROYED by new formula

I've sworn by this lip balm for over 15 years but the last batch I ordered didn't work. It is harder, does not moisturize, wears out faster and is no longer suitable for chapped lips. In the end I decided to give it a try and indeed the formula has changed. More beeswax, less tea tree oil, etc. I only wish I could return the tubes I have left.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Can hurt

Love this lipstick

Having a tea tree in lipstick can be an acquired taste and not for everyone, but I love it. Not for everyone. But I like it more than the fruity taste. I doubt it has any medical use and will help with every cold, but you never know for sure.

  • Satisfied so far

Had to throw most of it away

I have used this product before and I really liked it. But from this seller most of these sticks turned out to be useless. The first few uses of each were ok and as expected. But after that, the feel of the material completely changed. It was grainy and rough. It even looked rough, maybe some of the ingredients separated or precipitated? Or was there pollution? I wrote to the seller about the problem but never received a reply. So be warned!

Pros
  • Always liked it
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Rough but fine, best in balms and moisturizers

Smells very strong and feels rough, like a scrub, but I still really like it. Doesn't prevent cold sores but I think it helped reduce them. I've been using it for two months, the smell is still there but I'll keep using it.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • For seniors

Feeling like rubbing your lips with an eraser.

I recently purchased this Desert Essence Tea Tree Lip Balm after having used this product on and off for the past 10 years. It used to be a high quality lip balm that kept my lips from drying out and the lip balm glided over my lips. After ordering and using this product from Revain, it literally feels like putting an eraser on my lips. My lips are dry within minutes and there is absolutely no lip balm effect from this product. Do not buy. Do not use on chapped lips. Your lips will thank you.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

disappointed: lip balm

I've been using tons of this lip balm for several years and it's fantastic. I loved it for the great ingredients and the fact that it was slightly gritty and caused a mild exfoliating effect. But this last batch I received was silky smooth. I only took off one star because it has been perfect over the years. I'm wondering if this particular batch is "off" or will it be from now on? Update: for some reason the first dozen uses of this one tube went very smoothly, but then it went back to normal.

Pros
  • great for me
Cons
  • no instructions
