It is not fiberglass, so you do not need to wear gloves, making installation easier. I used all 50 touches to wrap around my same length 07 STI headers. I may have had a little OCD but it's cheap so why now. Ordered 15 more to complete the down tube. This resulted in such a huge drop in engine compartment temperatures that the exhaust height was actually changed slightly. Should get interesting when I wrap the down tube. So stop looking and get yourself some. Nevertheless, a recommendation: go…

Worked: Exhaust & Emissions

I was motoring my bike and originally planned to do some sort of polycarbonate shield but then I came across these pads. Based on the videos I watched, I wrapped my muffler from the bottom up (to allow liquids to roll better over the ceiling). over black to be a bit incognito; is it a bike or a motorbike?) It definitely helps. I burned myself about 3 times before wrapping the muffler. This now lets you touch the silencer and basically gives you a 1-2 second warning not to touch it so you don't…

As expected, clamps are better for installation, pay attention to loosening

let's see if it works well enough to justify installation. I started with a 2" width but found it difficult not to bend in the exhaust bends so I switched to a second 1" pipe. Also, I didn't like the fit or the use of steel straps. If you tighten them, the foil will twist. Hose clamps are much easier to use and more reliable. I painted my foil with silicone high temperature paint before installation and wrapped the installed exhaust pipe. I had trouble removing the exhaust so I left it on. I…

I say excellent: thermal foil, glaze and coating

This was ordered for a whole house propane generator (Winco/ONAN 25 kW). The original 14 year old packaging fell off and I could see the glowing red tubes. I've found that all exhaust pipes glow and people rarely know about it, but wrapping is important to keep the internal heat in for better combustion and the locally intense external heat to keep other things (vacuum lines, hydraulics, wires, etc.) . Head temperature is around 700-900 degrees Fahrenheit, so it's best to wrap it up. This is…
