Dual layer design - Outer layer is hi-temp Titanium, Inner layer is 89% silica to handle extreme heat. Reduce heat soak into oil. Easy installation with stainless steel Locking Ties. Helps prevent Corvette from going into "limp mode" from engine oil becoming too hot. Includes four 20" locking ties and a free locking tie tool.

Gap problem is good for heat shields

I had a slightly different use for this, I used it to protect a CV boot from high flow Cat welding on my Subaru. For all intents and purposes, it worked great! However, upon unboxing I found that all of the racks were riveted in the wrong direction, as if I had to use them to protect one side of a longer, thinner pipe, like a motorcycle exhaust. To get it to work I had to (force) rotate all the rivets 90° to wrap the cat properly. Strange issue and I'd probably trade it in if I didn't have time
