Looks good and very easy to install

We needed to replace a chain lamp that was being used as a kitchen sink work lamp. Since we live in a historic house I couldn't find any parts to fix the lights. We ordered the light from a supplier other than Amazon and the description said it had an on/off switch, but that switch was not in the light. We sent the lamp back and ordered this lamp. It looks great and was very easy to assemble. The only difference from the image is that we placed it with the globe facing down.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Crumpled

Decent lamp at a good price

I live in an old house that has many lights that are turned on by the lamp and not the wall switch. Let me tell you that this narrows the field from the start. I ordered this partly due to a lack of options and partly because it looked like a decent product. Well it's a decent product, especially when it comes to looks. . The build quality is satisfactory (ie a little light, except for the glass) and the rotary switch is straight out of the 60's. They could polish that part up a bit and ask for

Good lights good quality

They were very easy to install. I liked the fact that the internal mounting bracket rotates to accommodate any orientation of the box. The blocks were very well protected in the packaging and were intact when I opened them. The finish is well done, all the details are there. The only thing I didn't like was that the base block didn't protrude far enough from the wall to be able to install it without the rim of the glass ball touching the wall. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. A small…

Nice wall lamp with switch

There aren't many options for wall lamps with switches. I had wall mounted electrical boxes for wall/wall lights, but they didn't connect to the switch and I didn't want to damage the walls to run the wire for the switch. This light fits. I like the design. My only minor complaint is that it doesn't protrude from the wall enough and the top of the glass shade barely touches the wall, although not enough to disturb its installation. It would be better if he was a little further away from the…

Nice simple wall light (no dimmer)

I didn't want anything fancy, just a simple attractive hall light that would run off unswitched wires in the wall. It was a fairly easy setup, even with my rudimentary experience with electronics. The instructions did not take into account one small detail: you cannot put a glass cap on a light bulb; First you need to install the lampshade securely, and then you can screw in the light bulb. Also, I didn't name the dimmer because the advertising gave the wrong impression that the switch at the…

Pretty Looking Lamps - Lighting & Ceiling Fans

The lamps came in partially eco-friendly packaging, with the exception of the foam base, with no damage whatsoever. The finish was exactly as expected and had to match the other nickel satin accessories in the bathroom. Stylish frosted glass tulip design. The installation is typical of any wall light you may already have installed, with no surprises. I installed 9w LED daylight bulbs which is equivalent to a 65w incandescent bulb which really brightens the room. The operation is very simple…

Great flashlight at a great price but setup is a bit odd

This is a very good quality flashlight for the price. It can be mounted facing up or down if you are short on space. Installation is a bit odd though, as the screw holes in the case aren't the standard spacing for a lighting junction box. Therefore, they contain a metal strip to adjust the distance between them and the junction box. It would be nice if they didn't include the head screws. Instead, they give you these little threaded "tabs" to thread onto the end of the screw. Well, if you're…

Me, Jenky, Jenky, Jenky!

Very China. 1 ball screw is missing, ball screws are not knurled, which makes screwing in difficult. The fixing nuts used to attach the base to the wall are round balls and are chrome-plated, which makes tightening even more difficult. Looks good, hope it doesn't burn out one day. I wish you success. I've been a chief mechanic for over 30 years so I got it right but it took more effort than it should have. If they're where $5.00, they'd be a good deal. If you consider that it costs 0.85 cents…

Better than they look here.

I rented some old brass candle holders along with the old wood paneling from a house I bought a few years ago. I wanted a more modern look and it was all DYI. The ones I picked up had light switches and were not plugged into a wall switch. After painting I replaced the switch plates in the room with brushed nickel plates and wanted the sconces to be silver. Shortly after surfing the internet and visiting lighting salons for a month, I realized that it wasn't that easy. 99% of all wall lights…
