I wanted a vintage lamp for my laundry room and couldn't find the right one anywhere. Found this at Revain and am very happy with it. Ease of installation. The globe sits very firmly on the base. It was perfect for my small room.

This light is cute! I bought two and we used them in the pantry and in the transition area. We love how it looks! A real vintage old school lamp that illuminates the areas we have chosen very well. I smile when I look at this lamp! Pretty easy to install - highly recommend.

My barn-shaped cottage has a small dining room. This provides the dimmable light I'm looking for without being a typical chandelier light. I didn't want anything to hang too far or be too wide. This light also reflects the light/fan combination from the kitchen and has the same finish as the three-light ceiling light above the breakfast bar. it all fits together very well now.

I really liked the ad photo for this lamp. What happened to me, in my opinion, is very different. The base of this globe is not narrowed as can be seen in the photo. Also, the color is more of a matte brown than a glossy dark brown. The one I received also has very distinct copper colored streaks. When we bought our home almost 15 years ago we upgraded the lighting in the main areas but never bothered to replace the hallways. We still had the brass/gold build grade models and they were fine, but switching to them made a surprising difference. I LOVE the look of these lights. We put them in two bedrooms and in the hallway where we needed two lamps. I love the unique shape of this school globe. The hardware that came with the installation package did not work with some of our instruments. Required screws of different lengths. It would be great to get 2 or 3 sets of backlit screws to account for the variations. I would advise you to prepare several screw lengths, just in case, BEFORE starting the installation. First of all, sorry for the exterior ceiling renovation, I didn't have time to repaint the ceiling. I had to patch up an old electrical box to accommodate this little baby (which is pretty easy if you have the same problem). The base is only about 5 1/2 inches wide, which is pretty small, so like me, you may have to patch the switch box so you can't see anything. I paid $20 each and bought 5. They don't even cost $20. The photo shows a shiny bronze color. They aren't shiny. I can live with it. They look nice, but installation is sluggish. Small brown balls screwed onto screws don't always work. Sometimes they rotate fully, sometimes not. If not, then you can see the screw from the ground.
