The Good and the Bad

I was so happy to get this book for Christmas but was utterly dismayed to see that none of the templates required film stock. Someone wrote that any yarn store can help with this. I'm not sure. I think it would be an educated guess, either on their part or mine. As someone else said, I'm not sure about the size either. Kitty is a woman and if she's a size 34 I'm not sure if I'm a size 36. I think any woman over 5ft 6in and weighing 150lbs might not even fit in the plus-size kitty show. And if…

This book is about design, not copying.

Surprised by the negative reviews here. This book is for those who want to design their own sweaters. And I don't know of any other book that shows in such detail how to combine yarn. Brilliant. I have been knitting for many years and always use the same yarn. Thanks Kitty for opening my eyes to all the other incredible yarn combination possibilities. WOW. That is the premise of this book. What took over me?

I don't know what I liked about this book when I bought it. I teach knitting, have worked in four different yarn shops for many years and have been successful in creating my own patterns. Maybe I saw the classic simplicity of the style and thought it would be a good source of inspiration. Something like a handbook for skilled knitters. Here the passion stopped. My first complaint?
