People complain that they break or something. Learn how to tie it with stiff wire or use the alligator clips included in the kit. I used it to charge 4 Dewalt 9ah batteries at the same time on a 4 charger. It provides me with over 900 watts of power every time. Charges all 4 from dead to full, I have about an hour and a half.

Works well. I use it as part of a solar array that charges my DeWalt batteries (after DeWalt verified it can be used with their AC chargers). It beeps when the main battery is getting low, so I suspect that might be the problem that arises when other reviews mention the beep despite the low wattage draw. Unfortunately, it beeps shrilly every time it's turned on or off, but that's just a minor annoyance.

I just installed this May. It is now August and the product has stopped working. I asked a professional to install it and I asked him to check the problem and it seems that this product has just blown. I wouldn't buy it again but when I used it it worked really well. I am very disappointed that this product stopped working after only 3 months. I would like the company to contact me to see if there is anything to help me.

I've bought several brands to try and Dewalt is the ONLY one that comes with a thick, detailed manual. light and permanent bolt. Very convenient. Unfortunately I found out that my Honda Fit's alternator cannot power a 1000w inverter. None of the product descriptions, including Dewalt, mention the important fact that apparently a 40lb alternator can produce 1700w while some cars can't.
