Dewhel Black Shift KNOB Boot Retainer/Adapter for Manual Gear Shifter Lever - 10X1.5 Size Review

Arrived quickly and undamaged. But it doesn't fit my 2003 Evolution 8. It's too long. And too wide at the bottom for the original replacement shoe.

Almost perfect for my Accord 10th Gen 1.5t. Imperfection isn't even noticeable, so I gave it 5 stars anyway. I wish it wasn't so long. Because of its length, it adds a little baggy to the stock trunk for my particular vehicle. See image. It is matched with the official Honda Type-R shift knob.

The lock fits perfectly in my hand with my new gear knob and really makes shifting smoother. The OEM switch was a bit small in my hand, which was ok. I just tested it on Dragon Tail and it's smooth as silk. Highly recommended and you can use it with different types of pens like voodoo.

Looking for a more professional solution than tape to keep interchangeable boots from slipping off I came across these. They are perfect for what they do. Couldn't be happier. Just make sure you have medium profile zip ties to actually hold the boot. Ordinary cable ties will almost certainly poke a hole in the trunk.

Goes well with my new boot and shift knob. I'm sure it's easier to install on other cars, but mine wasn't. I'm guessing because it's probably intended for larger vehicles than mine. The main issue was the fit of the boot itself. But once I put everything together the look of my switch really got better. Good item for the money!

The Dewhel lock and handle are very easy to install. I took off the old grip and latch, screwed on the latch, then the m10x12 adapter that came with the grip, then the grip. I had some trouble getting the numbers in the right order. I ended up moving the latch up 2-3 turns and that solved the problem. The boot slides straight onto the new mount with no problems. This product is a perfect match for my 2006 Accord V6 6 speed. With the new grip I ordered it fit well but left the threads exposed, that's where it happens. Installation was easy. The thread fit is a little sloppy, but it tightens up when it's all together. If you have an Accord, there is NO need to cut through the trunk or pry the factory latch.
