It did exactly what I expected.

I have a headlight modulator on my gold wing bike, it gets 35 degrees Fahrenheit to ambient by putting one on each side, 2 in total it's dropped 15 degrees. Electronics don't like heat! So far it has lasted longer than the original. However, 15 degrees can make a difference.

Working but using the wrong tape

These heatsinks use 3M 9448A tape as shown in the pictures. This tape is NOT designed to conduct heat. It's designed to securely connect hot things, that's all. 3M makes many tapes designed for heat sinks such as B. 8805/8810/8815/8820 and 8892. I gave this tape two stars because it still transfers heat but not as well as thermally conductive adhesive. DGZZI, change your choice of ribbon to the one for your product.

Try to use this to get the Peltier Module together with a 12V fan to cool the same size and it failed miserably. It's my fault for underestimating the size of heatsink I would need for this application as I'm new to Peltier modules and heatsinks. This assumes that this heatsink will be used for processors that can also generate a lot of heat, and this heatsink cannot dissipate very much heat without the help of a really powerful fan. So I'm not saying it can't work for CPUs as I haven't tried…
