Great little pump: Utility Pumps

What a great little pump! We have a 4 seater kayak on our 1 acre pond. Whenever it rains, the footwells fill up with water. Two years later I was tired of digging it out by hand, so I decided to see what was available in the form of a DC pump. I found out about it and decided to give it a try. We bought a 10 foot DC power cord that we plugged into the jack on it and plugged into my ATV. The pump removes water quickly and easily. It comes with a filter that is easy to remove and clean and also…

Pros
  • 3.0 gpm output and 45 psi pressure setting
Cons
  • Some little things

Good pump. Used to water the meadow.

Excellent pump. I connected these to the battery with clamps. I used a pump to pump water from a huge reservoir in a meadow through a garden hose to water the plants. I had to buy several adapters to connect my garden hose. My only complaints: 1) The wires to be connected are literally just bare wires. It would be nice to have some kind of fast connection. 2) no switch. It's a little tedious to unplug the hot wire to turn it off each time. I'll try to include an on/off switch in the circuit. 3)

Pros
  • Self-priming, smooth, quiet and runs dry with no damage
Cons
  • Upgrade available

Primitive Water System Base

Love it, I'm not a plumber and I'm me don't know much about plumbing but this thing has made life so much easier. I have a vacant lot. No water. No electricity. Kind of like a 'tent city' but camping becomes obsolete without running water. This guy is that Backbone of my water supply. Pump into the nearest stream) and then in and out of this pump using an Anderson Metals brass garden hose fitting, fitting, 3/4" OD hose and 1/2" inner tube and this 1 /2" Gilmour tube. Brass double twist hose…

Pros
  • (1) Diaphragm Pump, (1) Instruction Set, (2) 1/2" barbed hose adapters, (1) 50 mesh inlet strainer
Cons
  • Slightly torn
