I have never used an adapter, I had to search the internet for instructions. Nobody comes with it. The adapter looks like a regular SD card with pins like an SD card. There is a micro SD card slot at the bottom of the adapter. It took me a bit of trial and error to figure out that the card had to be fully inserted (pins down, like the pins on the adapter) so that it didn't protrude from the bottom edge of the adapter.
