. As others have said the refresh rate is slow and it takes a while for the reading to settle down. Sometimes I find that the legs are too far apart when trying to check the alignment of something short.

Bubble never shows anything useful, keeps bouncing. The reproducibility of the measurement is very poor, depending on the temperature and even the direction, the same object at the same angle today and tomorrow can have a difference of up to 2 degrees.

I like your idea. I bought 4 of these to use at work during the setup process. The biggest problem I had was that the readings on 1 out of 4 were significantly different from the others. Factory reset and recalibration did not help. I didn't see any support contact info so I sent it back.

This excellent quality digital goniometer has proved invaluable for aligning saw blades and my other jobs. I love that it charges via USB - no more batteries. The screen is very easy to read. It took a bit of research to figure out how to use it as the instructions were written for those who are already familiar with digital protractors.

Not only is it a good 2-axis spirit level (i.e. replacement for a round spirit level) and inclinometer, but it can also make fairly accurate horizontal rotation measurements. For example, you can measure an angle in a corner of a room. The accuracy is about 1-1.5 degrees; slightly better when moving very slowly (10 seconds, which seems like an eternity but isn't really that long)

I bought this digital protractor hoping for more accuracy when setting blade angles on a table saw. I feel more confident using this digital device than the cheaper ones on the market. You must be able to understand and read the instructions very carefully to set up this protractor. This is not a way out of the box, press zero, but a device ready to use. It would be helpful if there was a better guide. Overall, I like this device very much and I can only recommend it.

++ Display refresh rate is ok, could be faster, but then OCD kicks in ;) I wish the xy measurement was also vertical Mounting works (upright on one of the four sides), but this only works if its back is on the ground.
