NOT as bright as shown

At first I was very happy to see that this lamp was a perfect match for my table lamp! And then I turned it on; The lighting is probably half what my halogen bulb offers, so it's not functional. I'm really confused.

Pros
  • High brightness
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Bought to replace a discontinued Osram bulb with B15d base. The socket may fit, but the bulbous edge of the plastic lamp body is too large for the bulb to fit into the bayonet socket. The last set of LEDs I had was encapsulated in silicone and I was able to cut it off. With this bulb, even the metal base expands and narrows the insert. Not sure if I should try grinding it or return it. Possibly sanded and if it doesn't fit send back as the base isn't up to the original specification.

Pros
  • Widespread
Cons
  • Expensive
