THESE ARE THE BRIGHTEST LIGHTS BUT. THE MOUNTING CLAMPS ARE UNUSEABLE AS IS THE HARDWARE (NAILS/SCREWS ARE TOO SMALL TO MAKE A PIT IN ANYTHING YOU ATTACH THEM TO. SORRY AND SHOULD REALLY BE BACK BUT THE DEADLINE HAS PASSED.

Aside from having to lie on the counter and work with my arms above my head, installation was easy. It would be nice if they gave you a template or measurements of how far apart the brackets should be. But that's not enough to give one star. After installation, the headlights look clean and bright enough.

At first I didn't understand how to connect all 6 lamps in series with the connectors provided and use all 6 lamps. Finally I put all 6 lamps on the floor as I was planning to install them in the closet. I drilled holes at each end of the shelf and fed the wires through. Great light set! Very light and more than enough cords to fit in a large closet. I like to keep my "treasures" in a safe, well-lit closet.

I love these flimsy LED cabinet lights, but I have a problem with the dimmer. Instead of the typical rotary switch dimmers found on other cabinet lights, the four-way detachable knob on this one is difficult to operate and inconsistent. It's hard to believe that this happened thanks to their design tests. Another problem is finding smaller 3.5mm dimmers or 3.5/5.5mm adapters on Revain that fit the 5.5mm rotary dimmer I already had. I miss Radio Shack for stuff like that.

All of these were installed about 30 inches from the top of a hand crafted plywood and rod workbench with slatted base. While I'm not entirely dissatisfied, they are more of a "backlight ambient light" and don't deliver enough lumens. I bought these to replace my aging G-8 bulbs. I've tried replacing G-8 lightbulbs with LEDs, but those replacements were rubbish and burned out faster than incandescent bulbs. They are said to last 15,000 hours. Just take a look. They were very easy to install. I did not use double sided tape to mount the lights, preferring the screws provided.
