Useless Breaker, Don't Waste Money

According to my experience, this breaker is not worth the price. Despite being advertised as industrial and scientific grade, it failed to protect my circuit from overloading. The only positive aspect is the Din Rail mounting option, but it doesn't make up for the lack of protection. Save your money and invest in a more reliable circuit protection product.

Pros
  • Din Rail mounting option
Cons
  • Fails to protect circuit from overloading.

Doesn't seem to hold the wire

No matter how I tighten it, the set screw won't hold the wire. I am using 8awg stranded on one terminal and 10awg on another terminal. A little tug or no tug, they'll fall out. This product is only suitable for solid wire? Do I need to tin (solder) the wire before tightening? Just wondering if there are any Midnite product engineers out there who can enlighten you.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Labeling confusion - Works for me though.

It is interesting that the manufacturer states 125VDC on the switch side. But then there is a sticker on the face of the switch that says "150VDC". Luckily I run 84 volts through the switch from my solar panel so it doesn't matter. But if you're using the switch where you're pushing more than 125V DC, you might want to do a little more research before you buy.
