I have several of these and am glad I can get them cheap on Amazon. The purpose I use is to split the signal so that I can use one side for the DECA network components and the other side for the receiver's input. This allows me wired internet access for all my devices at the TV location if I plug the DECA component into the network switch (DECA components are sold separately and I found them on Amazon).
