Hooray, no B-band converters! Simple easy update. Changed from sl5 with multiswitch to simple swm. Contrary to videos on the internet and stuff I've read. You only need ONE line for two tuners with swm tuning. Yes you still have both tuners, record on one, watch another program on the other and lure on one line to swm input.

I just got a new roof so I upgraded my directv hardware while the dish was off. Now there is only one cable (there used to be 4). The roofers put the panel back in the old holes and it didn't even have to be readjusted! Everything works great, but one piece of advice: my receivers didn't automatically adjust to the new SWM setting. I had to set them up manually. I haven't seen this in any documentation, but figured it out myself. Fortunately, this was easily possible in the receiver's satellite
