I just got a new roof so I upgraded my directv hardware while the dish was off. Now there is only one cable (there used to be 4). The roofers put the panel back in the old holes and it didn't even have to be readjusted! Everything works great, but one piece of advice: my receivers didn't automatically adjust to the new SWM setting. I had to set them up manually. I haven't seen this in any documentation, but figured it out myself. Fortunately, this was easily possible in the receiver's satellite tuning mode. I get a much stronger signal from all satellites (90+ mostly) and great HD picture on all channels. What to do with old cables and multiswitches now?
