📺 THR22 HD DVR Remote Control for DIRECTV TiVo Review

How nice to have one where you can read all the printing on and above each button! Our old one still works, but everyone in the family prefers to use this new one because it's much easier to see.

Our new HD DirectV Tivo Receiver comes with just one remote control. Our purchase of a second new design remote control from WeaKnees DVSuperstore was worth it. Although some of the previous features are missing, the remote control is great.

I've been looking for a replacement for the one I have for years. Directv doesn't carry this remote with them, they give you one of their white remotes which doesn't control the system the way Tivo intended. All I can say is that if I could I would give 12 stars.

The TiVo has long been one of the best remotes. You can use it blindly in your hand. Even if you don't have DirectTV TiVo, this makes sense. I have mine for use with an Apple TV. The power and volume buttons can be programmed to work with my TV and stereo just like any TiVo remote. The Apple TV can then be programmed to learn pause, play, menu, rewind, fast forward, rewind, chapter forward, and rewind buttons. It's better than the standard AppleTV remote.

Replacement for the original that's been through a whole different hard life (countless falls onto the concrete floor) - including being dunked in a bucket of water, so we ordered a new remote and spent $10 more for one same-day shipping (a $10 value!). The new remote control arrived the same day; I put the batteries in and everything worked. Their website shows how to program your TV to fit - it took 1 minute. By the way, the original remote actually came back to life after drying for 24 hours
