This is my second of these pumps. The first came with our house and the label said it was about 7 years old so I'm already impressed. When the old one broke it got really loud every time it pumped out the water and then made some crazy noises before going off in the middle of the night one night. Called the next day to get a new one because you can't go a day without air conditioning in Florida in the summer, especially with kids, but NOBODY had one on the spot unless I was a contractor working

My ancient little giant caused a flood 6 months ago because the float switch got stuck. I replaced the pump with this because I liked the idea of having electronic sensors and no float switches. I have NETBOTZ networked room monitors that I set up as a home monitor and alarm long before something like Simply Safe was available (15 years). I hooked up water leak sensors to my NetBotz in the basement and it found a leak the other day and my old Stone Age condensate pump was the culprit. I've been looking for smart pumps but to no avail I guess due to the increase in cost with Wi-Fi connectivity. These pumps are as close as can be and I love everything about them.
