These were purchased for our kitchen island. They look and work well, but they're not as strong as I'd like them to be. They come off easily and then sway from side to side. Easily repaired by re-tightening, but eventually they loosen and the cycle continues. Even in the first month, I kept dropping blobs of black paint on the floor.

I bought these pair to fit in our kitchen as some extra space on my kitchen island but was concerned about how durable they might be. When they arrived I opened the box and assembled them in less than 10 minutes. High quality, sturdy, looks very stylish in the kitchen. Our guests asked where we got them from and they loved the look. The seat itself could be a bit bigger for plus size people but other than that it's a great buy!

I get compliments all the time and for the price they are great! I need them to take them off completely because I have high braces and they wobble a bit at that height. But I definitely feel like they are safe enough for my family. They have a heavy bottom so they don't tip over. I put felt caps on the legs so they don't stretch the floor. You need a drill to screw in a wooden seat. Good size seat. Not too small. Just be careful with the grease on the threaded part of the stool during assembly
