I absolutely loved doing this book nook. It is for my daughter for christmas who is an author. You need to have some knowledge of crafts. I feel someone who never does any crafting will find it a little frustrating. But it can be done. My biggest complaint is the instructions are not clear cut. Common sense takes over that. The gift is amazing but there is so many parts to assemble. I didn’t understand the directions very well I feel the assessment could be easier if the lettering were printed on the exact spot it should be on. Had to rip off the wood from a couple parts and it ripped clearly cause of the glue but still it’s an overall okay gift.

This is a highly detailed kit designed to look like a peek inside a 3D book about butterflies. The artwork is splendid and intricate. As with other products from this company, you need to be very patient and be prepared for extra work to get the parts to fit. I encountered some warping in the wood parts and tabs that needed sanding before they would fit into their corresponding slots. I bought this on a whim and can honestly say that I do not regret that decision. Big, sturdy pieces and easy to follow instructions helped me get this together with no trouble. running the wires for the LED bulbs is simple enough. I used Gorilla glue for the entire construction, including the paper bits that need glued to the wood panels. This was first book nook, and I thought it was a good introduction to them.

This was a fairly quick build if you're used to these sorts of miniature kits - I managed it in a few evenings. Everything went together without too much trouble, and I was able to follow the directions (though sometimes you have to think about it for a few minutes and check the pictures to figure out what they really mean). Have good fast drying glue. It was fun to put together and paint. It is missing 2 round trim pieces from the front. I contacted the company and ask them to send them…they ignored me. Other than that crap it’s great!
