Type of review

My friend who is a steadycam operator recommended this to me. He said you get less tired using it with Ronin-s and you have a lot more control. So far this seems to be true, especially if you use it for a long time. This adds a bit of weight to the gear, but the increased stability and control is a good deal.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Expensive

DO NOT BUY THIS! for accessories

One event filmed in 3 hours. I had a firm grip on the gimbal but kept slipping, causing the gimbal axis to get stuck. I had to loosen and tighten every 20-30 minutes. Not to mention the shots went poorly but after this shooting I had no confidence in this grip. If I install it properly, I expect it to stay there. Good aesthetic design but terrible functional design. The little rubber pad you put inside doesn't work. He slips. waste of money

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

It might cost you more than the price of the pens...

I held these pens for about an hour before the round part started to slip and buckle. I noticed that the adhesive pads started slipping out from the bottom (see photo). He also managed to scratch my gimbal. Also, I almost dropped my $2,000 camera because of the poor grip design. The handles are screwed on so I made a very simple move and grabbed it with one hand, the handle unscrewed and I almost dropped everything. My heart sank into my stomach... luckily nothing hit the ground, but it was too

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • So so

Very durable! The Best Accessory

Carefully attach the main center piece by screwing on both sides evenly (move from side to side to make sure you tighten both equally). The distribution of force ensures that this grip doesn't slip one iota. For reviews where the rubber adhesive came loose or slipped, causing the riser to contact the stabilizer bar, that step probably wasn't done with due care because even if the glue came loose it wouldn't matter - grip strength around The gimbal is much more powerful when done right. There…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Not all fit

Disappointing: Accessory

I bought this grip for my Ronin-S and after photographing a wedding decided to return it. Pros: 1. I liked the modularity and the ability to add additional accessories to the "wings". Cons: 1. The rubber on the handles is worse than another product I've recently bought2. The arms themselves screw into the piece that attaches them to the wings and can be unscrewed if you put all of the gimbal's weight on one hand to adjust focus or zoom, for example. This can be jittery and cause the entire rig…
