DMC 6102 Plastic Bobbins 28 Pack Review

If you use DMC floss for any job, you know how easy it is to get that extreme knot of floss you need most! These spools have helped me avoid knotting while storing my thread and it's a lot easier for me to store a large amount of thread when I'm not using it. It's very good to have some for the next project you have in mind!

Bobbins don't do a glamorous job - they hold the embroidery thread so it doesn't have to stay in a ball or become a tangle. Those DMC coils do a poor job. My main complaint is that the angled cuts are too wide at the end where the line needs to be fixed after winding. It's not the thread that needs to be caught and held securely in these slots, making them pretty much useless and meaning the ends will unravel and/or become unruly.

I love my new plastic spools! My yarn drawer is so neat and organized now. I didn't order enough the first time, so I had to order more right away. My box currently still has the cardboard coils and you can see the difference. The plastic ones keep the thread tidy and have a place to write the number so finding the right thread is very easy.
