Big Small Scissors

These are the best scissors you can get for crafting. I do a lot of different crafts and I have found these scissors work the best be it cross stitch, postcard making, making items for church projects (Easter, VBS). They are just the right size and can get into small areas that other scissors just can't get through. I have several pairs for different projects.

So that not a single hair slips between the blades.

received very quickly after purchase. These little scissors are a pretty good weight for their size. My blades are consistently sharp, not just the broad end or the nose. In the video posted, I easily cut through a paper/cardboard packet and a piece of cotton material, although I didn't have a free hand to hold what I was cutting. I also used them to cut my hair a few days ago and they worked just as well as my barber scissors.

Dead spot on blades

I have to say I am disappointed with these shears. I have several DMC embroidery scissors scattered around the house in different areas I work in and these are the only ones I've ever come across with a dead spot on the blade. The tips are cleanly cut, but about halfway to the blades there is a section about 1/4 inch long where you need to "saw" the thread or yarn to cut it. Either it is a manufacturing defect that should have been discovered by DMC. before the scissors left the factory, or the

Awful little scissors although cute looking

No tips. Cut. Spring. B Everything! This product receives a revised rating of 2.5 stars from the Fakespot web service. The reliability of the assessments is rated D. I can understand why. The ends are not cut. You simply twist the threads sideways between the blades. They cut lower down the blade like any other pair of scissors, but the cut doesn't feel "safe" or clean. I am sending these back. I just paid over $15 for a pair of Ginghers to replace and they are a dream come true! (Verified…

Not the best for cutting tools

These cute scissors reminded me of a $20+ pair I saw at my local boutique. The boutique had Swiss made scissors that will last a lifetime because they can be sharpened. Sigh. The biggest problem with DMC scissors is that I can't guarantee my thread will be cut if I try to cut close to the tip. The thread needs to be placed in the back half of the scissors if I want to cut safely. I kept trying, wondering if it was my imagination. Sometimes the scissors don't grab the thread well when I'm near…

Where is DMC

I am really impressed. I never wanted to spend money on embroidery scissors in various sewing and needlework shops because they were very expensive and seemed unnecessary. They are great for all those thin layers of embroidery thread and make for a much cleaner and quicker cut than any thin tailor's scissors. Also, working on craft projects somehow becomes a lot clearer. Threading an embroidery needle with a tiny hole after trimming the floss was a lot easier. It was a great price and I trust…
