This is a WS2812 RGB LED control module based on ESP-01 / 01S. With it, you can easily control the WS2812 light bar / light ring. DIY own lighting control system. Support for Arduino IDE programming. Master: ESP-01 / ESP-01S (This module does not include ESP-01 / ESP-01S). Operating Voltage: DC 3.7V-5V (Please note: The positive supply voltage VCC on the board is connected to the VCC on the WS2812 3PIN connector. Therefore, if your light bar / lamp ring is 5V powered, use DC 3.7V-5V power supply.) ,Support 3.7V lithium battery. Master: ESP-01 / ESP-01S (This module does not include ESP-01 / ESP-01S). Power supply: 3.7V-5V DC power supply to the VCC GND (2.54mm pin)

Is working! Electronics: Computers and Accessories

Requires soldering but works as expected. Haven't tried the RGB strip yet but I'm pretty sure it will work as I have a PCB that only uses one transistor to operate. I'm using the WS2812FX library for animations. No more than 5 volts may be required to power the board. I use a micro USB module where I cut data tracks with a blade and plug them into a wall charger. I also have another one that I connected the DC input to.

You are good at a task.

These little adapter boards lived up to expectations. They snap easily to addressable strips of pixels and are the no-frills I was hoping for.

also suitable for ESP projects for transmission only

I have many projects where I need an ESP chip to send data over the UART serial port. Normally you would use a real TX line (and you would have RX available too) but this yellow wire is connected to gpio2 and it is not a TX line. but! Instead of using Serial.begin(9600) use Serial1.begin(9600) then use Serial1.println() and all serial sends go over the yellow wire. this is the so-called "half uart", which is the second port on the esp. I have many clock projects that need to get time updates…
