Broke in a few hours

I really wanted this bracelet but it didn't even last a day. One moment I was wearing it and the next moment I realized it was on the floor. The small metal link attached to the double helix broke fairly easily. I'm not even sure if it caught on something, but if it did, it didn't seem to take long before it broke. For $9 I shouldn't be surprised but figured I'd use it a few times before it broke... Also, it's a really big bracelet that can't be shortened to fit small wrists. I am by no means a
