Good concept, poor execution

I bought this unit thinking it was good gear. Something that combines data, IDE, USB and more in one device. Be careful buyers. It is not durable like other docks I have. Skinny would be the best word for it. I used it once and repackaged it for a different reason. Only the SATA slot worked. Nothing else fits and I made a statement which was approved. Of course, you need to send it back to China for a refund. The return is more than what I paid for it. Attention buyers.

Suitable for SATA, not IDE

Edit** I bought this in March, it's July now. The IDE notebook section no longer works. I don't use it every day so I don't know when it came out. When I turn on the device, the device flickers and the hard drive is unreadable. (No these aren't hard drives as I had to check them some other way) I bought this mainly for the IDE partitions. VERY CHEAP. in computer accessories and peripherals

Just received. How serious. Received 30 minutes ago. And it looks great; very happy with the look. Purchased model TCC-S862. Got it out of the box. all parts are there. Good sign. Read the manual, you may need a magnifying glass to read it. The inscription is very small. But went to the website and downloaded the software. I have a lot of errors on Linux Box. This product works well as described, but.

This block works really well. Once you've managed to align the pins. Due to the depth of the product, it's quite difficult to align the IDE pins. It took me quite a bit of time and ingenuity to understand this process. It's from a guy who's been working with computers since MFM. Hard disk. Brilliant kit, works as intended

Works great, managed to download old IDE hard drives straight away that I haven't accessed since 1999. All working discs have been successfully downloaded. I was so lucky to find old photos of my wife and dog from over ten years ago and some other data from the late 90's from a friend of mine who lost his copies decades ago.
