    7.3 inlet upgrade to fit fuel filter

    This is for a 2002 Ford F350 7.3 diesel. I used it to replace a broken factory airbox and improve airflow for my engine. I can't tell if this was a noticeable improvement, but I like that the turbo is more pronounced and you can hear the engine sucking air. The quality is good and the price reasonable.

    Suitable for a great light update 2002 f350 7.3!

    Great easy upgrade, maybe 30 minutes or less. I wanted the old 7.3 to breathe a little easier, so I took out the stock airbox and put this block in with the crossover pipe - man, you really hear the turbo whistle a lot better with this baby than the nifty OEM they put in these Install engines - it must be genuine OEM! Would recommend to any 7.3 owner, FYI it fits but is stuck

    Great filter for 7.3 Powerstroke

    Just picked up the 3rd of these filters. Converted to this filter from the original airbox with a couple of clamps and a 4" piece of tubing (anything recommended with this filter). Checking the air duct during replacement shows that this filter is doing a great job of keeping the air clean. It's purpose is to clean the air better than the original airbox and I can't recommend it highly enough.

    Perfect for my 7.3: Fuel filter

    I took S&B $299.00. Because the air intake warning light comes on when your throat is full on the mountain. I built the airbox myself, have been using this Donaldson B085011 filter for two years, Walmart BBQ Heat Set 4 points: one on the front air, one on the side air, one on the turbo side and one on top of the motor. Result: 55 mph on a 7 percent hill, 85F side and front airflow equals air temp, turbo reaches 260F, engine top 187F, airbox is very important for BO85011.

    Quite easy. Less expensive than NAPA 6637 but basically the same filter.

    I just did a start and run test but there are so many factors that affect performance and fuel economy that I won't comment on them anyway. Sounds about the same. Pay attention to the installation situation. I have an early 1999 Ford 7.3 Powerstroke and it requires a short 45 degree elbow to replace the stock air cleaner housing. It's not a straight fit and people will say "you only need a small piece of 4" pipe", but that's not the case with the old body shape (OBS) or the early '99 7.3s.

    Frying a turbo is not an option, I trust this brand.

    I have always used Donaldson filters in my trailer. I was out in my F250 hauling a heavy load. I knew I had to change the filter immediately and sent it to the next stop. After ordering I bought it right away for twice the price. Heavy towing and high horsepower, my fuel economy and engine cost a lot more than a dirty air filter. If you ever want to test the merits of one brand or style over another, weigh them. Although you should have blown your filter sooner, this filter can handle at leastโ€ฆ

    BHAF fits my Dodge Diesel 99 Great

    I have a Dodge Diesel 99 4x4 that had one of these installed when I bought it. Three years and 45,000 miles later for a new filter. Probably should have been sooner. It fits well, the 4" outlet is a bit narrower so I had to loosen the clamp quite a bit. If you're replacing the stock setup you'll need to pretty much relocate the battery to the top of the wheel arch to fit behind the headlight. The inside diameter is four inches and the outside diameter is almost 4 3/8 inches, so I loosened theโ€ฆ
