Best way to always bypass the cigarette lighter

I used mine on a 2016 Ford F-250 (F250) Lariat Diesel. All the cigarette lighters in the truck are on a permanent circuit, so it's difficult for me to manually turn on the dashcam every time I get in the truck. You often forget to turn it off. I've looked everywhere for different ways to hardwire it to the ignition controlled circuit. Works great - jump starters, chargers and portable power supplies

Ordered for my new 2021 F-150 Platinum pickup with auto dimming rear view mirror. I saw this recommended by someone on the F150 forums and read the reviews on Revain. It works exactly as advertised and took me a few minutes to install. It powers a Vantrue N2S dash cam which actually uses USB-C so I had to use the cable that came with the dash cam as the adapter only includes micro and mini USB cables (which are used in most dash cams) . 5 minute easy install on my 2018 Ford F150

I was looking for an alternative way to connect a Garmin Dash Cam Mini that I bought for my 2018 Ford F150. I didn't want the cable hanging from the camera to the cigarette lighter or the cable looping around the headliner. Installed on a 2014 Ford Flex SEL, took 5 minutes, works great. UPDATE: Well, it only "worked great" for a day. I connected it to a Garmin DashCam 55 and it seems that this dongle does not charge the camera battery, the camera turns off after a few hours. I doubt it's an issue with the amount of power available, most likely the camera has some way of detecting its own charger and refusing to charge anything else's battery.
