Expensive for nothing special.

Advertised as the strongest space blanket in the world. As far as I can tell, no more durable than the cheapest on the market. Also there were no stains on the blanket. Assorted bags are cute, but add little value beyond making a presentable gift. Don't waste money.

Addition Perfect Bug Out Bag

I have seen many different companies and vendors on Revain that sell mylar rescue blankets and they were either more expensive or of lower quality. For this price you get four quilts in separate bags; I've recently started putting together a bug bag and this is a great addition to the utility you can get from four quality blankets. It was cool too, half the sale went to charity!

Pros
  • STRONG, ULTRA-LIGHT, COMPACT PACKAGE. Includes 4 extra large (5ft x 7ft) reversible colored survival blankets rolled in nylon ripstop bags. You can stow individual blankets anywhere, or take enough blankets for the whole group with you in the included zippered bag with carabiner. No other space blanket compares to our ultra-compact and durable storage solution - the perfect balance of strength and light weight at only 9.5 oz/set (only 2 oz/quilt).
Cons
  • Not the best

To be honest, it's no different.

Honestly it doesn't seem any different from the rest, so what are the world's most durable rescue blankets? I don't think that's true. However, they come in nice individual packaging, just like other brands. This is a decent product and just a standard emergency blanket. As far as I can tell, nothing more. If you think they're cheaper, unless you're buying something else, buy them. It will probably be the same quality. I was convinced that this is the "coolest thing in the world" and I don't…

Lightweight and can be used as a ground cover

I bought this specifically for cycling and used it as a base for my tent for 3 days of camping in the cold and rain. This prevented groundwater from seeping into the tent and I felt warmer in the tent than without the groundsheet. The extremely thin mylar was strong enough to last 3 nights and folded with my tent, but finally ripped last night. If I had to go outside again I would take 2, one to cover the earth and the other to wrap around me. One night the temperature dropped lower than I…

This is a SURVIVAL blanket; no comfortable blanket; it does the job

Testing this blanket as a source of sleep in freezing temperatures and snowing, this blanket did the job. I didn't think it would work because I was very cold at night. But when I woke up and saw ice and snow all around me, I could tell I would be a lot colder if this blanket wasn't doing its job. It's by no means something to keep you warm and toasty, but it will get you through the night (I use two, one underneath me and one on top). They take up little space and are easy to have just in…

The quality is not the same anymore

When I first ordered them in June the ones I received were of decent quality. Not the thickest or strongest, but significantly better than the regular silver ones I've used in the past. However, when I received my second order, which I bought in August, I was very disappointed. While the packaging and overall look are the same, the material is definitely NOT. They are no more durable than the cheap silver mylar rescue blankets you can buy anywhere. They are a similar orange coloration to the…
