Love the drain plug

Used this to replace a leaking rusty pan on my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 46RE transmission. The fit is good and I like the drain plug which makes it less messy when the pan is lowered.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Almost fine

Fits perfectly. for spares

Item as advertised. Crashed straight into my 1999 Dodge Dakota RT. There were two different pads. One was the one I needed. Draining the old gear oil is much easier thanks to the drain plug in this pan. Easy to turn on and off.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Terribly bad design!

Please tell me: What's the point of putting a drain plug in the oil pan if you put it almost half an inch in the oil pan? If it doesn't merge because of "drain", why dump on it? Please note the drawing that shows the internal projection of the threaded bush.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • A few little things

Good factory replacement.

Nice factory replacement pan for my 46RE in my '97 Ram 1500. Bought with the intention of drilling a hole and installing a cap for the temp sensor. The plug is neatly welded. The paint was clearly worn in the weld area but when received the palette was clean and looked like OE quality. Another plus is the bottom plug for draining the liquid later, which makes changing the liquid/filter easier.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Expensive

A step in the right direction

This case looks just like the factory case. It seems to me that the company welded a piece of threaded pipe to the underside of this cover. It's all well and great except they don't offer any gaskets or washers. Just twist and flow. I've tried various oil pan washers and they all leak. I ended up having to seal the screw with tape to prevent leakage. Nice pan, could be better

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Zero

The pan looks good and appears to be well made BUT bad.

The pan looks good and appears to be well made BUT poor as many others have said about this product the cork LEAKS. I threw in the dice but ran into the same problem: after 50 miles I can see the drain plug is a little wet with gear oil. What's the point of buying a transmission pan that has a drain plug that seems to be constantly leaking? I made sure everything was tight before installing and now I need to drain the transmission oil again and figure out how to tighten the drain plug. Greatโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Small things

Watch out for welds on the drain plug. otherwise great.

I bought this because my old pot was dented and leaking in one corner. It seems to me that this is a standard pan, only with an extra drain hole. As another buyer pointed out, I also have a problem with a leaking drain plug, heck I even added a rubber washer. slowed it down a bit. I think the weld is just bad and it's leaking around the gasket there, maybe we both have lemons, but with $36 gear oil for a box of six, I'll wait 30,000 miles and be done by then. Shit since I bought this pan to fix

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • very expensive
