perfect for trailing arms

The oiler at the end, which is in the rim track, is too high and rubs on the rim. I filled the fitting with grease to ensure the "cam" was full, then removed the fitting and installed a flat threaded plug. otherwise it fit perfectly and was slightly cheaper than stock.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Driving me crazy

Easy assembly and perfect fit!

This product is amazing! My old bushing failed and the eyelet was very loose causing some vibration. After replacing the bearing and center hub on the wheel itself, I needed a new trailing arm. It came quickly and I adjusted it just like the old one as the alignment was still on. I smeared it with copper grease, I had to tap lightly. Tightened it up and it's been working flawlessly ever since.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

I had no trouble installing or installing this part.

I have had no problem installing or installing this part on a 2002 4 door Explorer. The outer ball joint is sealed. There must have been an update to remove the Zerk fitting shown in the photo and judging by previous reviews that was the problem. The length is adjustable, I put it next to the old part to adjust the length. This is the correct part for Explorers built after 4/3/02, right or left hand side.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

This is a high quality product. I only had.

This is a high quality product. I only had one problem. Zero grease on the ball joint does not clean the inside of the rim on my 2002 Explorer. I already lubricated the ball joint before it broke and made a small dent in the rim. I simply put a JB weld on the hole and sealed it. I suggest looking for a sealed ball joint or sealing this after it has been lubricated. Maybe that will free the other wheel. I have standard aluminum wheels on my Explorer XLT.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Older model
