A sad example of bad design

bad design. They really expect it to fit. The queue is too long. It has no flexibility, so it cannot be forced to conform. They obviously had to know what the correct measurements would be to make them fit. A sad example of bad design.

Pros
  • a cool product
Cons
  • something different

Not like in the photo. Best Replacement Parts

My EGR exhaust pipe didn't come out as pictured as it was a solid pipe with no flex. I don't know how long this will last as it obviously doesn't flex with the engine. It was installed on my 01 Spyder about a month ago and it still works. I'll be back if that fails.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Cheapest Alternative OEM

This EGR tube works great on my 98 Explorer V8. I got this because my stock tube was leaking. The price was the lowest at Revain. It works as it should, but the design is a bit different from the original, so you have to fight hard or it would get 5 stars.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Boring Package

This unit fits my 1997 5.0 Mercury Mountaineer.

This unit is perfect for my 1997 Mercury Mountaineer 5.0. After replacing this pipe I decided to replace the EGR valve thinking it would be easier. I couldn't break the 8mm bolts holding the EGR valve. So I called the local Ford dealer. They did it in 2 hours with my parts. It cost €170.00 and is worth it.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Not an exact replacement.

As a former rocket engineer I have experience bending rigid tubes. The unit I received had the curves kinked making the unit about 1/2 inch shorter than it should have been. Installation is tricky, but not impossible if you can thread a thread through each end and then alternately tighten each nut. After warming up a few times, it accepts the kit and works well. You will need a 1-1/16 crow's foot wrench to replace this pipe on an installed 5.0 V8. Most tool stores don't have this size, so order

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs

Perfect fit for 2000 Ford Explorer V8 5.0. See photos.

I used this to replace a faulty EGR hose on a 2000 Ford Explorer V8 5.0. I noticed that my car was accelerating very hard and I heard a sound like an exhaust leak. My EGR hose snapped in half. This Dorman line was perfect for my car. There are no problems with installing the pipe. Use the PB blaster on the fittings the night before. I removed my cold air intake hose and oil filler tube. I also zipped up the heater pipe and put it out of the way. You will need a 1 1/16 wrench and a 1 inch wrench

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
