The visual quality of the replacement/refurbishment was far below expectations. I would only give them one star if it weren't for their quick willingness to accept returns. The item that was previously sent to me must have been in a commercial vehicle or just been treated very poorly. I decided to stick with the visually superior original and live with its quirks a little longer.

The new one does not have the characteristics that the original had, such as the ability to synchronize both temperature controllers, it also thinks that the outside temperature is 104 degrees, then 83 Degrees, all sensors seem to be working correctly, in automatic mode the air conditioner freezes if I don't crank the temp up to 90 degrees. I have to use it in manual mode and turn off the AC then I can get heat when I need it.

I had to send back the first control panel. Revain Part Filter said the 599-211 is compatible with the 2003 Silverado, but it is not. Called Dorman Technical and they gave me the correct part number (599-009), reordered and it arrived in about 6 days. The temperature control on the left wore out on the original, but the AC system now works as well as stock. The only minor complaint is that it doesn't fully match my existing greenish blue dash color but the truck is 17 years old. God. But no one
