Already leaking coolant rebuild kits

Worked about 2 months and 3 days. Not installed for so long. I checked the coolant today before driving for about 45 minutes. Was almost empty. After troubleshooting, we found that it was a leak in a plastic container. No hose, no fitting, just the bottom of the tank. Poorly made. Unfortunately, this is our only option.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Good but not great

Edit, the lid didn't even last a week! The outer ring of the lid has detached from the center of the lid. as it should!), or if the cap didn't like the heat of the coolant (also *should* be hot), but maybe the cap will self-destruct after an hour or less of use. Perfect fit for my 75 F250. Still going strong after a year

UPDATE 3/28/18: This canister has been in my truck for over a year and is still fine. No leaks, cracks or anything like that. ORIGINAL: I have a 1975 F250 that needed an expansion bottle so I bought one to add to the engine bay. The bottle fitted perfectly on the left side of the engine bay just below the battery and fitted into some of the holes that were already there without drilling. The plastic is nice and thick, the lid fits tightly and reliably. The intake pipe below was already open for

After three tanks - EVERYTHING is flowing at the seams

As a result, you get what you pay for. I used these tanks as an oil reservoir for a 2-stroke engine. The tank was mounted on a rubber-based frame away from engine vibration. I bought three new tanks a few months apart and all three are leaking at the seams on the bottom (near the nipple). Unfortunately, every tank leaked worse and worse. The third tank was assembled the same way and as soon as I poured oil into it, it started to flow immediately. I spoke to a Dorman technical representative toโ€ฆ
