🔧 Dorman 604-201 HVAC Air Door Actuator - Black Review

I almost returned this actuator after installing it and it didn't work. I found out that you need to reset the EATC module. Start Ford, turn off the air conditioning. Press "Off" and "Gender" at the same time and immediately press "Auto". I ran the test twice and now the drive is working properly.

I installed this part myself. Uncomfortable, but right behind the glove box. It fits and works perfectly. I'm getting great AC performance now on my 1998 Explorer. This is the one you use for Ford EATC (Auto Digital Control). On the Explorer 98 it is possible to replace a defective actuator by lowering the glove box by removing 3 pcs. 8mm self tapping screws and lift straight up. You must remove the replacement drive from its base by squeezing the split plastic spacer and gently prying off the ea drive cage. Corner. The drive comes on a tray without instructions. I should probably dock two stars, but I'm only docking one. At first I thought I ordered the wrong part, but I checked again. To make it work in my old file explorer I had to remove the tray. If you look closely, you'll see that the tray is designed to tear off. It has four cotter pins that hold the tray in place.
