Better than plastic

The preloaded spring clamp was not tight enough on the hose but a new clamp easily solves this problem. much better than the OEM plastic part.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not as good as advertised

Save the old collar! in hose assembly

Core hose clamp not tightening ENUF. The new collar lived no small enuf. The new clamp allowed the hose to move and leak antifreeze. The reused old clamp prevents the hose from slipping off.

Pros
  • Gives a comfortable feel
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Don't trust the supplied clamps.

Fit was fine but the supplied spring clip failed in less than a month resulting in complete loss of coolant while riding.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Negative impression

Replace that OEM junk inlet!

Works great and is the perfect replacement for your 4.0 liter Nissan Xterra, Frontier or Pathfinder. Don't wait for your factory plastic inlet to replace it as it will fail.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Dull packaging

Just in time conditioner

Bought at the very last moment. My drain hose broke. replaced. And figured I was safe with admission. When I touched the old inlet it broke instantly and was lost forever so I was so glad I didn't want to until it came out on its own. 2 minutes to swap old for new.

Pros
  • Manufactured
Cons
  • Unreliable

Improved OEM part. Much better quality.

Much better quality than a factory plastic part which can break or crack. Do yourself a favor and buy this before your coolant squirts all over the track and you and your friends have to pee in a Red Dawn-style radiator.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • I'm concerned

Needs some adjustments to work well.

Purchased to replace a rotten heater hose on xterra 2nd gen. The aluminum part of the hose is fine. Part of the rubber hose was too big / it turned out the clamp wasn't applying enough pressure to securely attach to the heater core. I had to run to the local auto shop to buy better hoses and clamps.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Vulgarity

It will happen! - 2012 Nissan Frontier (4x4 4 other cab)

A Nissan engineer who thought it was a good idea to use factory plastic fittings on the inlet and outlet of the heater core has to spend the rest of his life in a repair shop installing them for those , which have broken before, cracked and degraded when the cooling system heats up. If these two parts fail, there is no warning and there is a good chance that roadside bush repairs to get home will not last the journey home unless you are really close to home. I'm not a big fan of non-OEM parts…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
