Durable differential cover for money

This difference bothered me. The lid will be flimsy as it is an aftermarket. I was pleased that when it arrived it was the same thickness as the OEM cap, good quality, powder coated and easy to install. It's nice to find a quality part!

Like the original at a low price!

Very good replacement for the very rusty original cover. The exact fit and the presence of a magnet for metal shavings, which was not present in the original, make this a great upgrade. Excellent value for money and quality. I had to buy the spacers separately but that's not a problem as they are readily available.

I used the gasket that came with it and it seals perfectly. I used silicone sealant on both sides.

Installed on my 2000 Ford F250 4X4 Crew Cab this weekend. The cover appears to be as thick as the original. I used the gasket that came with it and it seals perfectly. I used silicone sealant on both sides of the gasket. Fits great and doesn't leak! I am very satisfied with this product!

As advertised - works like a master

99 F250 6.8. As advertised - worked like a champ. I replaced a rusty, leaking lid that was 15 years old. MFG uses RTV sealant, however this product comes with a gasket. Use the supplied gasket or RTV sealant, not both. The seal worked perfectly for me. There is no filling/draining with this lid. To drain, remove the lid. There is a plug on the side of the differential case for topping up transmission oil.

Powder coating on the inside could be a problem but unlikely

Good differential cover. I don't like that the inside is powder coated. If it's granola, you bet it will. There's also a lot of hydraulic pressure and turbulence in the differential, and it can loosen a magnet stuck to the powder coat. So I removed the powder paint inside and the magnet. There aren't as many metal particles in a differential as there are in a manual transmission, so the magnet isn't as useful - it poses very little danger. And I didn't have a band-aid.
