Thermostat Housing: Engine Cooling and Climate Control

I have a 2006 Acura TSXI, I need to modify the bolts and replace the housing gasket with a Felpro gasket to repair the car - save time and labor, buy an OEM part -

Pros
  • Thermostat Housing
Cons
  • Slightly dented

this could be a great product

The OEM part uses different screws, be ready to buy new screws for both the thermostat and the case itself. It could be a great product, I've never doubted Doorman products, but some screws need to be added. Waste 40 mins 2 trips to Home Depot.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Useless Features

Some need improvement.

To fully tighten the thermostat screws, three holes must be drilled with threaded inserts. We drilled the end so it was open at the other end and screwed a tap through. The thermostat screws were driven down and the original had the holes all the way through to allow the screws to be secured. Luckily we had a drill press and a tap that was the right size.

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • There are new competitors
