Fixed bug and check engine light on my Ford Escape

This along with replacing the harness connector fixed the check engine light issue. The metal valve body looks like cheap Chinese metal, so don't expect it to last long before it starts to rust. Works as expected so not disappointed with my purchase.

The Check Engine indicator has disappeared.

Dorman vapor canister vent valve took care of that pesky check engine light that came on every few weeks. It's very easy to remove the canister vent, but it took some time to reinstall as the hose and electrical connectors connect by feel. I might add that the new valve did not turn off the check engine light. I had to clear the fault code but it has been a few months now and the check engine light has not come on.

Replaced vapor canister purge valves and vapor canister vent on my 1999 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 5.0L. This is instant cle

Changed the vapor tank purge valves and vapor tank vent on my 1999 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 5.0L. This immediately cleared the check engine light (the code was a small leak in the evaporator system). Nice renovation for an 18 year old car. This part is located above the spare wheel (you must remove the wheel to access it).

Instantly solved my CEL

Worked great, fits perfectly and triggers my check engine light for 2001 Ford Escape V6 XLT. It is located in front of the driver's rear tire in a black plastic box. My screws were very rusty and would have to be drilled to remove them. Instead I just made a few cuts and cut off a corner so I could bend the plastic enough to reach and pull out the old one. Then a self tapping screw holding the cover in place. 2 months and several tanks driving, still no CEL!
