Correct Bolts - 2008 Chevy Silverado 4x4

One of the bearing hub bolts I had had snapped off. I had to remove the hub and weld the nut to the head of the broken bolt. Worked great and was able to remove the broken bolt. The new screws are the perfect replacement for the original screws. Be sure to apply a medium strength threadlocker to the threads during assembly.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from the testers
Cons
  • Not bad

Mandatory item when replacing the hub.

If your bearing fails, do yourself a favor and order all brake shields and new bolts with the hub assembly. Only two of my original six bolts could be reused after removing them, and the shields were rusted and flimsy. The money you "save" by not ordering new screws is spent 10 times on the curses you throw at yourself.

Pros
  • Nice package
Cons
  • Something different

Complete brake and hub work

I have a 2007 Tahoe with 165,000 miles. It was time to tackle the brakes on all 4 wheels. I also noticed that the hubs didn't feel smooth, so come on with all the brakes, that wasn't great! Ordered AC Delco Professional rotors, Wagner TQ brake pads and Timken hub assemblies from Revain. I saved about $250 for the best price I could find locally. Everything went smoothly and everything arrived in perfect condition.

Pros
  • Durable test results

OEM replacement does the trick

You will need to replace these bolts when installing a new hub assembly. All the parts stores wanted about $30 for the exact same combination. 10 bucks for a screw? Exactly the same part and more accessible if you can plan ahead. Also buy some dust shields as you can mess up the old ones by removing the old assembly. I had to use an air hammer on one side, which turned the sheet into cheese.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Super quality bolts. Perfect fit for 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe

Perfect fit for 2004 Chevy Tahoe 4.8 wheel hub. The bolts appear to be high quality steel and I can see they will last for years or until another falls out of the wheel hub. I've never had any of these brands of bolts fall out, but the ones that come with the aftermarket hubs you buy tend to fall out and you won't notice until you get under the car to lube it up or one take break. Be sure to check these, as the wheel hubs are only held in place by three screws. That's less than half the retailโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • The list will go on.

Suitable for your GM or Chevrolet.

A lot of people on here are asking if this will fit their trucks and SUVs. If you drive a heavy Chevy or Gm, chances are it does, although the seller says it doesn't. The Dorman website states that the appropriate bolts for my Silverado 2500hd are part number 917-519. This one is 917-517. The difference is that it is a pack of 3 screws instead of 4 screws. Aside from the bolts, these are the same 15mm head bolts. See photos. Some of my original bolts rounded off when removing the old hubs and I

Are you kidding me? Lost again! But I must have them for repair!

Who needs a dealer when Dorman comes to the rescue! After hearing from a local Chevy dealer, "Sorry, we ordered them but can't find them," I checked Amazon and found them. I changed hubs on 06 Chevy Silverado 1500 4wd (238k miles) and it wasn't a problem, but if you run with a busted CV axle and a bad hub assembly it can be a problem. The broken axle acted as a sledgehammer and then a grinder, destroying the studs and steering knuckle. For the price and no hassles just get Revain hub bolts andโ€ฆ
