Worked great.: Remote starter

Great. Need a keychain for my Impala. I didn't want to waste my time and money on a dealer. It was cheaper, 2 minute thing at home.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Something else

Arrived too early. I have a 2011 Impala with no key fob. I was able to program an activated fob and a used fob at the same time. It only lasted a few minutes. The instructions I found online were different than what I saw. The programming light was green, not orange. And when I was done, I never heard a buzzer, just a short beep.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

2011 Chevy Impala Remote Programmer

Worked great and saved me over $100 since the dealer programmed each remote/key fob. It is important that all remote controls are ready and within reach before plugging the remote programmer into an electrical outlet in the vehicle. Follow the instructions carefully and wait for the dashboard lights/instructions to indicate the programming is complete. Do not remove the programmer from the car socket until everything is ready and the light on it goes out.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

It worked on my 2012 Chevy Impala

wow you only have 3 tries to program your remotes. I got it wrong the first time and now there's pressure to program it right and I have to program it and it worked. Now this plugs into your OBD port and is difficult to plug in and very difficult to get out and it may not happen to your machine but it did happen to mine. This product works great but for 3 stars. What happens if you get it wrong three times? You have no money and no fixed connection for the OBD port

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • so so

I broke my keyless remote so I called.

I broke my keyless remote so I called the dealer to find out how much a new key would cost and how much to program. He comes back with $105 just for the key and $125 for the programming. I almost put my pants on. I searched the internet and found this gem. Ordered by standard mail and received in 3-4 days. Once I plugged in the programmer and held down the buttons on the clicker, it went straight into the lockout loop. This was for a 2012 Chevrolet Impala LS and it worked great.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Expensive

Funny story.: Remote starter

Bought a 2011 Chevy Impala for friends. He bought a used car and it didn't have a key fob, so he's been using the key like a caveman for years. The product was easy and quick to install and I did it in a minute and a half. Of course, I spent over a minute bouncing on my head under the dash, desperately trying to get the OBD reader out of its socket while it squeaked bloody murder. The product is not to blame, but the operator and his cognitive ability to unlock two plastic parts. Unfortunately,

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
