You get what you pay for

I bought this for my '96 Dodge Ram. Installation was quick and I liked that it came with a new tank. However, it has only been about 6 weeks since I put it on the truck and it has already gone bad! I hope it comes with a guarantee.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Socket required

It fit and didn't work :(

I installed this on a 1996 K1500 and the pedal fell on the floor and got stuck. Removed and thrown away. Another at the local parts store and it worked fine.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Some problems

If you're here to find the best pedal then you're here.

I bought this for my mom's truck, I could feel her brake pedal and wish she had the best so I ordered it. When not flowing, it feels like a sponge. Pump up the press. Either use a scanner in the store and pay, or hit the brakes in a wet parking lot. I hope there is no air in the engine. Then there is no turning back.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Expensive

Took 2 years 2 months

Purchased in October 2018 for my 1998 GMC K2500 with 286,000 miles on it. Yesterday 12/30/20 on the way home from work the brakes fell on the floor. I have driven this truck 306,500 miles so far. Mostly interstate miles. I don't pull a trailer. I have installed 5 or 6 master cylinders on my Ford and GM vehicles for the last 25 years. None of the others failed so easily. I have never used Motorcraft or ACDelco. But now the quality of goods from abroad seems to be lacking. I bought the Wearever…

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Vague memory

There is never a good time to reset a master cylinder. However, mine broke down in the driveway just minutes after my wife and I had driven about 40 miles on one charge. Pretty lucky, right?! Imagine an old red farm truck with ZERO brakes in the Kentucky hills with a full load of firewood. Might be clumsy. Anyway, I got distracted enough and regressed and became obsessed. I did my homework and discovered that my truck had two master cylinders, one standard and one heavy duty. With the Cowboy…

Pros
  • All great!
Cons
  • Protection
