Fits and works well on my 1995 Toyota Corolla

Fits perfectly on my 1995 Toyota Corolla. I'm having no issues and am at the 800 mile usage mark. This was my first master cylinder change and it was a lot easier than I expected. Just make sure you have someone to help you bleed the brakes afterwards. Thanks to Youtube for teaching me how to change parts and bleed brakes.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • -

My installed unit didn't work and when I slammed on the brake to start the bleed process one of the fittings leaked so I couldn't install it now I don't have $45 left. Money will never buy a Dorman again so I am so disappointed it made my pain worse when I tried to return it, unfortunately the product has expired to return, I think I will have to use it as a paperweight.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Almost never

The package contained plastic threaded plugs which I marked as .

Includes plastic screw plugs which I used as vent plugs. I clamped it in a vise, filled the reservoir and pumped about 75-100 times, a bubble coming out with each compression. Installed on the car and one of the brake line connectors was at a slightly different angle than standard so I had to be very careful not to cut the threads. With brake line nuts, it's helpful to use a small feeler gauge to tighten the wrench so you don't round the edges of the nut. Bleed the brakes on all four wheels and

it works great and no longer slides on the floor

I bought this for a 1990 crown it says it fits and it does. It works great and no longer slides on the floor. The only problem is that the connector that sends the signal to turn on the brake light on the instrument panel is the wrong tank and connector. I'm just going to assemble mine somehow because I'm a master tech. But here is a link to what I should have gotten. /B003ULQYKQ/ref=sr_1_13?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1418265060&vehicle=1990-76-1013-234--1-8-5-4924-1823-1--1900--2-0&sr=1-13&ymm=19…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not the best

1. Unit received does not look like the picture though The picture actually looks like the OEM unit but has the part number listed. The picture shows the correct block, just like the original tank, and it appears to be the correct connector. The resulting device is a "jug" or tank with a vertical tube and a wire attached to the sensor that is electrically correct but does not fit the OEM connector from the firewall, at least not for the 1996 Corolla . It can be made to fit on the MC side of the

Are you satisfied with the purchase again with comments on the fit?

Looks very good, appears to be an almost exact replacement, very happy with Revain and their Dorman master cylinder - would buy again without hesitation. The master cylinder fits almost exactly. As far as I can remember a month ago the only difference in appearance and design was a minor small difference in how the low fluid electrical connector was fitted into the brake fluid reservoir and my car's electrical connector could be a little tight. Be very careful and careful when installing as…
